The Discrimatory Education System

Malaysian students, especially those from the non-bumiputric stock, have been languishing for the past 25 years during the premiership of Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the Father of Modern Malaysia Racist Education Policy.

Tun after retirement came out with a confession that he was responsible for the Policy which deprived the non-bumiputra of government scholarships, of preferred disciplines in the public universities and study loans.

Tun and his band of cronies became very intolerant when the opposition or public raised issues that question the Malay supremacy. Many of these leaders were put under the ISA. The Bumiputras were by virtue of this Malay status given all the privileges - money, overseas tertiary education opportunities in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and the United States. But now Dato Nazri was saying that those leaders who harped on Malay supremacy do really know what they are talking about. He reiterated that they have cow dung in their brains! This language was indeed very strong.

In order to help the bumiputras to enter the universities, entry requirements were reduced to the barest minima of two Principal 'E' passes in the STPM to qualify for medical, engineering, accountancy, dentistry and legal studies. Passing marks were shamefully lowered. As a result, academic standards plummetted to an all time low.

Many non-Malay students who scored well in the SPM or STPM were not given the opportunities to pursue courses of their desire. Hence, many of them have to study in the private colleges and universities where the fees are exhorbitant when compared to the fees of public universities.

The typical product of a local graduate is one who is unable to communicate in the English Language - cannot speak and write. Hence, they are unable to find proper employment in the private sector. The civil service is the savior that takes all these goons in. It is facing a superfluous situation.

In the civil, military, police and para-military services, practically a 100% intake on bumiputras took place from the 70s to the 90s. Non-Malay applicants were rejected without reasonable excuse. The bumiputrisation policy is eclipsed with the strong wave of racialism in these arms of service. Junior officers received accelerated promotion over their seniors. Hence, saw the exodus of non-malay civil servants during the 80s and 90s and many were so frustrated that they opted for early retirement while a great portion migrated to other countries.

Then, non-malay students upon their graduation do not wish to return to their motherland. This gives rise to the perennial brain drain of our human assets to advanced countries where they were happier working there than coming back home to be treated like pawns.

So, Tun MM is now feeling remorseful for what he did. I really cannot trust such a person who say A meaning B having in mind C but actually D. During his entire reign, he had certainly hoodwinked all the Malay brethren and sisters. They had been really duped left right and centre by Tun MM.

Bringing Glory to the Nation

The non-Malays who participated and succeeded in obtaining gold medals for the country at the Asian Games 2010 in Guangzhou China ought to be given the highest accolade and recognition for bringing glory and fame to their motherland.

There is no doubt that these athletes are dedicated and committed to do their best for the country as they so declared before the nation before they left for Guangzhou for the Asian Games.

At the time of writing, Malaysia bagged in 8 gold,14 silver and 33 bronze medals - 55medals in all - which is indeed a hefty and lofty achievement for a a small population country like Malaysia. It ranked No. 8 in the medals tally among the 45 participating countries in the 2010 Asia Games.

The success of these medallists appears so simple. But, behind their success, lies the long hours of painful, gruelling and persistent detraining, training and retraining until they reach near perfection or a degree high enough to earn their crowning glory not for themselves but for the people of Malaysia as well as the nation.

Their selfless sacrifices for the nation cannot be doubted nor can they be adequately compensated by mere words or monies alone. They must be duly recognised as true heros of the country. This small number of citizens of the country belongs to a special group of nationals who are not only patriotic and loyal but also are exemplary and effective ambassadors of Malaysia.

In fact, they are special citizens of the world where their special qualities are greatly needed in most if not all countries of the world. They are always welcomed to live in any part of the world.

I regard these athletes as special class of people in that they are generally humble in their victories and gracious in their defeats. Besides, they have a recently high degree of emotional stability towards good and bad publicities from the media.

Many a time, when they emerged victorious in a game or a match, they were praised highly but when they are defeated they faced the ire of the merciless press who could not care a damn whether they were human beings or not. They were treated like humanoids when they failed to win the competition.

This group of athletes is a microcosm of what a truly united Malaysia is or should be. A great lesson can be learnt from them. They are friendly, not racialistic and moderate in their dispositions. When gathered together, they are truly united for the attainment of a common goal - that is, to succeed for the nation. The verve they possess and the tenancity that they manifest in their determination to succeed speak volumes of the key to success in human development and achievements.

So let us not question the integrity of these athletes comprising loyal citizens of all races. This is truly Malaysia. What can it be otherwise?

Lawless Shooting

It was indeed sad that our policeman shot an innocent and helpless single mother in Shah Alam five times besides using his booted feet to kick, stamp and broke her ribs.

What sort of policeman are we having in the country? From the press conference, I can only come to the conclusion that the SOG must be sick in his head. He must be charged for attempted murder and cashiered from the police force.

The innocent must be protected and feel safe to move around and about in the country. Otherwise, the country will agravate and degenrate into an anarchy where lawlessness rules the day.

The victim was unarmed. She was not trying to harm nor threaten the police constable on duty. If he suspected that she was up to no good, he could have asked her to step out of the car and had her apprehended and taken to the nearest police station for interrogation but certainly not shooting an innocent woman at point blank. This is tantamount to bullyism.

By denying and protecting the PC, our Home Minister had acted unprofessionally. He could have uttered omething more palatable to assure the angry public that he would investigate the report and if there was justification, he would see that justice be meted out.

By making a stupid statement, he certainly had "jatohed" standard.

It is good that the victim is contemplating to sue the police in seeking justice not only for herself but also for the country.

Let all servants of public authorities be aware that Malaysia is a civilised country and we have a responsibility to govern the country with justice, compassion and benevolence.

Irresponsible Media

Our media is under the control of the BN Government through the Ministry of Home Affairs which is empowereduner statute to rescind publishing permit or refuse to renew such permit on expiry if that publishing company or organisation has breached or breaches any of the conditions under which the permmit is granted or fails to heed the warning of the Ministry or violate any of the prevailing rules, regulatons or laws governing media pubication.

The media is controlled by the BN Government through its component parties. The big boys - NST, The Star, Utusan Melayu, Berita Harian, Tamil Nesan, Nanyang Shang Pao and Sing Chew etc are operating under the thumbs of the Government, which determines what news and reports the public should read and know.

The newspapers have the reputation of being biased and not too truthful in their publications. Unlike other newspapers in the West, there are more reports and news than advertisments and rubbish filling the pages. No wonder, many people are just fighting shy of buying these newspapers - which have been playing the role of the Government's mouth piece.

Everyday, one never fails to read about crimes - robberies, rapes, divorces, criticising the opposition parties etc. News that are untoward towards the UMNO/BN Government are often blanked out. Investigative journalism is seldom praticed; if at all done, it is always to the disdvantage and tarnishing the opposition parties.
A point in time was the damaging reports that filled the space of the local media before the Altantuya's case was being investigated by the police!

The public would want to know how the UMNO/BN cronies are performing their work the public entrusted them, the offences they have committed, the money they had siphoned out into their pockets, the disappearance of public funds like the PTPTN Scholarship Fund and the number of students to which the money had been loaned out and how much they are owing, the actions they have taken to recover these loans and the deficit that it is likely to face in the near future etc.

No wonder the Penang State Government and the Kedah State Government recently decided to ban reporters of UMNO/BN conrolled papers from their public functions. Why? The reason is quite obvious. Irresponsible reporting is the main reason.

Do I need to speak more?

Lack of Patriotism

Recently the Minister of Defence, Dato' Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi commented that it was perhaps the lack of patriotism that saw the Chinese and Indian youths not interested in joining the armed forces or the police force.

How would Zahid as a small kampung boy from Bagan Datoh know how hard the Chinese and the Indians had fought the British after the 2nd World War, the commies during the emergency and for wresting independence from the colonial master in 1957?

Without Merdeka, Zahid might not now be sitting high up on the ivory tower to utter such insulting and disparaging remarks against the prevailing indifference of the Chinese and Indians to join the military and police force. I would describe him as an ostrich burying its head in the sand and ignoring the realities of the day. The UMNO/BN Gevernment have killed whatever interest and eagerness in them serving the armed forces through the discrimatory NEP.

A man of letters would not utter sweeping statements like what he did. I would have expected that he be better behaved, more couth, and polished in his public utterances.

As a minister with the UMNO/BN Government, he should realise the circumstances that contributed to the present sorry state of affairs. Intake of non-Malays was reduced to the minimum for many years in the 70s and 80s. Their promotion was held back to allow their malay colleagues to move ahead of them. Just imagine, juniors climbing over the heads of their seniors! This caused emoraliation and frustration among the non-Malays; no wondr, many to leave the forces prematurely and serve our neighbouring countries.

I remember in the 50s, Chinese and Indian youths had no qualms at all about volunteering to join the armed forces. There was fairness in assessemtn, treatment and promotion was based on merits rather than on their ethnic origin, religious background and skin colour.

If I may say so, this indifference was caused by the discriminatory, divisionistic and racialistic policy of the UMNO/BN Government. The NEP that was introduced after May 13, 1969, though its objectivs were noble on paper, was implemented to the detriment of the nation. As a result, the country is now divided along racial, religious, language, education, occupation and business lines. And it will take generations before these barriers can be taken down like the Berlin Wall.

Look at the brain drain each year. Non-malay students are not offered courses of their choice in the local universities, so they have to pursue their tertiary education either through local or overseas private colleges or universities at great expense of their parents. Many were offered scholarships by neighbouring countries and when they graduate, they serve the countries that gave them the helping hands. Should not this be the basic social responsibility of the Malaysian Government? The divide and rule policy of the UMNO/BN Government have definitely dampened whatever patriotic feelings that these growing youths might have in their hearts.

From young these potential leaders are faced or made to face and grapple with the various divides - in schools. colleges, universities, occupations and business. How would anyone expect patriotism to be inculcated in the minds of these growing youths? UMNO/BN have destroyed the nation through their bigotted and divisionistic social economic policies during the past four decades.

They have succeeded in causing suspicion, mistrust and division among the races of the country, implementing the 'apatheid policy' in respect of education, award of scholarships and places in the local public universities, employment in the civil service, military and police forces. The policy of governing the country with justice and benevolence as taught in the Islamic religion is all swept under the carpet for certain UMNOputric selfish interest.

The Government should set a good example of the type of conduct and values they would like to inculcate in and mould the country's citizens. If it continues to allow and condone corruption to prevail within and across its machineries, then the people would just follow suit.

Country building cannot be left to the tyros. The UMNO/BN putras are too complacent and too ensconced in their comfortable chairs. They only know how to enrich their pockets but not the masses. Hence, a change is needed for them to wake up. Let the opposition party show them how one can be prudent in spending, how to economise and save for the rainy day, how to preserve and prudently and productively develop the country's human nd natural resources in line with the national needs, how to elevate the standards of college and university education;, how to improve the income of the average worker, and bring in high-tech industries into the country etc.

If UMNO/BN is to survive the next GE, it must be sincere in its policy implementation. The people shall be the sole judges and she cannot continue to fool the masses any longer. The corrupt must be booked and severe action to be taken against them including on conviction forfeiting and confiscating all their ill-begotten and unexplained wealth and have them distributed to the country's needy.

Unless justice is done, racial harmony will remain at stake. There shall never be peace and trust among the races in the country. For progress, all races must be given the opportunity to move forward freely, equally and in tandem and be granted the dignity and recogntion of their human rights. Politicising and polarising religion and race must stop altogether. Days for such matters are over.

With all the above matters in place, the lost patriotism will one day be restored. We call for justice, equality and opportunity to be shared by all in the country. Let us get started now before it is too late.

Uphold the Image of Justice

The Judiciary has already earned a bad name where it comes to administration of justice.

Before a person can be charged and prosecuted in a court of law for a seizable offence or crime, the Attorney General must give consent; otherwise, the case is just as bad as being frozen.

Recently, the case of the Altantuya's murder was again resurrected in the internet which hinted that the AG was attempting to close and bury it for good. The Altantuya's spectre is certainly haunting those who are involved in the plot to heinously and mercillessly assassinate her using the C4 explosives. The case had been blown sky high and had attracted worldwide attention. Any untoward action by the AG at this juncture would likely court global ire, contempt and backward blessing from the bereft family of Altantuya as well as the Mongolian people.

The other case that did not go well in recent times was the attempt to introduce "a suicide note" to the court months after it was allegedly found in Teoh Beng Hock's bag. How could this have happened? The with-holding of the said note was certainly against the normal practice. By so doing, the image of MACC took a great dive. In consequence, the public confidence in MACC had plummeted to an all time low. Don't let the fall go any lower than the floor on which TBH's body was found.

Malaysia is well-known for its 'kebolehan'. Why allow the situation to deteriorate any further?

It is lamentable to see many of the high tech investments moving into PRC, Thailand,India, South Korea and Taiwan. The 'kebolehan' factor has certainly back-fired. If it continues to persist, our dream to become an indusrialised economy by 2020 or to become a high-income economy shall remain a dream.

This is perhaps a wake-up call. If the UMNO/BN Government is not going to take serious actions to transform the society at all levels to be one committed to the philosophy of competence, accountability and integreity for the future prosperity of the country, no one will ever do it for her.

Ultimately, we have to fall back on the human resources of Malaysia; that is, the people of Malaysia.

Unity Key to 1 Malaysia

It is sad and most unfortunate that despite the PM’s express policy to create a united Malaysia, we have in our midst scumbag like Johari Ghani, Head of UMNO Titiwangsa Division uttering irresponsible statements that Chinese and Indian are not needed for BN to win an election.

Such statements do not really befit the CEO of C.I Holdings Bhd (Pemanis) which distributes bottled beverages like Pepsi, Twister, Revive, Kickapoo, Chill, 7-up, boss coffee and others.

By trying to play to the gallery, Johari merely shows his inner bankrupt make-up which consists of bigotry, chauvinism and racialism.

Malaysia do not need guys like Johari. All the more the electorate should reject candidate like him who will not do any good to the country except racial tension, unrest and disunity among the people.

For the harmonious and peaceful development of a nation, one has to practice not only tolerance but also acceptance of one’s fellowmen. Tolerance is no solution in the long run as we have experience since 1969. One has to accept and respect one another regardless of race, creed and political affiliation. Unless this basis principle is accepted, then no amount of rhetoric, slogan and advocacy will help.

To attain corporate success, it requires a lot of hard work. Success does not come by through utilizing the public funds to buy up successful companies. It requires the injection of one’s capital. Otherwise, there will be a lack of motivation and commitment to succeed. The situation is exacerbated if such companies are going to be bailed out by the BN Government each time they run aground. Cases in point are Sime Darby, Felda, MAS, BBMB(CIMB now) etc.

The citizens must be united if the nation is going to succeed. Unless justice is practiced, the hope of realizing 1 Malaysia is likely to be doomed to failure.

Guys like Johari should be taken into custody under the ISA. They should not be allowed to hang round in public causing disruption, dissension and disintegration among the people of Malaysia.

Need for Interdependence for Growth

It is indeed sad that despite the PM's express policy to build a united Malaysia we still have in our midst scums like Johari, Head of UMNO Titiwangsa Division.

The days of bigotry, racism and isolationism are over. We must as responsible citizens be concerned with not only in enriching ourselves but also for the welfare and development of others. Together, we can build a better and stronger nation where the peoples are loyal, dedicated and committed to the unity, harmony and peace among one another.

Malaya was born out of the tacit co-operation of the three major races - the Malays, Chinese and Indians. The British would not grant or was probably reluctant to grant independence to Malaya had the three ethnic groups not agreed with one another in governing the country together.

At that time, there was no question at all crossing the minds of all the leaders that one race attempting to exclude or discriminate against another from enjoying the benefits and resources of the country.

No one was to be deprived of his freedom, equality before the law and right to being treated equally with dignity as a citizen of the country.

But look at today, the original objective of Merdeka has been obliterated and sidelined. Certain avaricious "pendatang" from neighbouring and middle-east countries have assumed the false prominence and notion under the guise of nationalism of fighting for their security and places under the Malaysian sun by exploiting the weakness of the orang asli and indigenous people of the country for their selfish motives.

This very group branded and styled themselves as Malays after May 13, 1969, and ingeniously engineered the constitutional definition of Malay and the NEP so as to enrich themselves to the exclusion of others, created a lassez-faire class among themselves in the course who have to depend on the perpetual subsidies of the Government of the day, need not work hard and compete with the others and the world and robbing and squandering in the mean time the national resources for their own beneifts.

The country has awakened. The people are crying foul that they had been deprived of what that are due to them. They have remained tolerant for the past three or four decades so as to allow the UMNOputras to implement the objectives of the NEP. But instead, the nobility of the NEP had been distorted by certain bigoted political leaders along the way and today we see clearly the social economic needs of the masses have not been met. The development is very lop-sided.

Greed, corruption and ruthlessness have reared their ugly heads. The Malays are now saying that they have the inherent rights to special treatment and privileges. But they do not realise or feign to realise that these rights and privileges are only possible in an expanding economy.

The Malays have succeeded during the past five decades in attaining their supramacy in politics, government, economy and the business sectors and yet they are still trying to squeeze the remaining drops of blood from the marrows of the other races.
The warped social economic strategies of UMNO/BN are all wrong. Whatever strategies they put up now or attempting to put up now do not have the confidence and consensus of the people. The unholy coalition of BN has carved out a habit of not walking the talk. Look at the 1 Malaysia gimmick - there is so much of incongruencies within BN that very few people cares seriously about it.

The country is made strong through the blood and sweat of the early fathers of Malaya but within a matter of three generations, we are experiencing moral decadence which will if left unchecked destroy the nation of which we pride to be our own motherland.

Look at the rot within the UMNO/BN - corruption, avarice and abuse of power - have become the norms of the day and a way of life among the leaders, the civil servants, the police and the military. Look at the GLCs operating as conduits for siphoning funds into the pockets of the ruling parties or few. These pseudo-business organisations together form an insiduous consortium that helps the ruling the government to legimitise the flow of funds from the treasury to the pockets of the leaders under the guise of business. When they lose money, the public are made to pay and bail them out.

EPF is becoming the cash cow for the UMNO/BN putras. A lot of monies have been "borrowed" but we have yet to see how the Government or its agencies to make good the hard earned savings of the workers of Malaysia. So far EPF has been coerced to invest in overseas projects but not many are really generating profits and or dividends for the contributors. The funds have been managed by imbecile appointees and we trust the Auditor General would throw lights on its performance.

Interdependence must be fostered and encouraged to be fostered for future survival of the country. There must be sharing of power and equitable distribution of wealth. Scholarship and education should be opened or prised open for all. Remember all the public institutions of higher learning were builst and funded by public funds and therefore it is just not right to prevent qualified non-Malays to have access in pursuit and attaining their desired disciplines and specialisations.

By clinging to the NEP, UMNO/BN are just destroying the country in the long run. Let us not be kidded by what they say, think and do. Unless they harmonise what they think, say and do, nothing will come out successfully from this unholy alliance.

So unless they change, they must be voted out. Let us not mince our word and deed.

Need for Interreligious Dialogue

Why is the Government so afraid of involving the local muslims in interreligious dialogue with the adherents of other religions?

For the past few decades, the muslims have been invited by the MCCBCHST to share their faith and its teachings with representative members of the Consultative Council but until today, this invitation still remains standing.

By engaging in interreligious dialogue. one does not derogate the position of one's religion. In the eyes of the Almighty God, all men including women are His creatures and children who belong to one human race. They are equal before His eyes. Throughout history, God through His prophets has handed and continues to hand down His revelations to His people in different countries at different times with a view to guiding them against worshipping idols and declaring to them that He is their God and they are His people. Yet the people unfortunately refuse to heed His words and continue to be led astray along the path to perdition. God wants us to live as one people under His command.

Interreligious dialogue helps promote racial and national integration among the people of different religions/faiths. Besides, along the way, it fosters peace, understanding and harmony - which factors are so crucial to national development, harmony and cohesiveness.

While religions may have their own differences, there are similarities as well where it comes to moral values. It is often pointed out or suggested that we avoid talking about differences but merely focusing on similarities. I personally do not see the rationale of this proposition.

In interreligious dialogue, we do not only talk about similarities but also differences. It is by understanding differences that people get closer to one another, trust one another better and enhance better friendship.

Once the camaraderie is established, the people can enter the next phase of operation and that is getting engaged in inter-religious programmes and activities for humanity - such as, charities like joint fund raising, helping the handicapped, the poor or needy, the aged, victims of acts of God etc. Is this not the noble long term objectives of 1 Malaysia?

If our PM is really serious about realising his vision of transforming the nation into 1 Malaysia, then he has to take firmer and bolder steps to overcome all the petty unfounded remarks and innuendos about the effects of having interreligious dialogue among all the followers of the major religions in the country. The BN Government has been postponing this decision for many years. First it rejected the proposed Interreligious Commission, then the Interreligious Committee and the name is now modified to Committee for Understanding and Harmony Among Religious Adherents. The purpose has been so diluted that I am not confident what the latter Committee could achieve except to reduce it to one of informal exchange of views.

Let us not impose any pre-conditions for talks and exchanges of views on religions. By having such unnecessary restraints and constraints, talks and exchanges may not be open, serious and effective. The Committee will just operate like a group of uncommitted personalities appointed by the unwilling to do the unnecessary. Let the dialogue be spontaneous and free of political influence.

Let the BN leadership be positive in its thinking for positive thinking begets positive expectations which give rise to positive results. Remove from our mind any suspicions and untowards consequences that may arise. Let us not count the chickens before they are hatched. If those involved are God-fearing people, then we can only expect the best and goodness to come out of the dialogue.

Save Resources for the Nation

For the past five decades, the UMNO/BN Government have not been prudent in the utilisation of the country's resources. Much of these resources have been squandered on mega projects that do not benefit the masses. Instead they went into pockets of the few UMNO cronies through privatised companies or government linked companies.

There is no reason why our country should trail behind Singapore, Taiwan or South Korea in terms of social economic development if and if only the financial resources were spent on useful and productivity improvement projects.

One serious problem that plagues the country is the discriminatory wealth-sharing policy of Malaysia called NEP - New Economic Policy. This policy was introduced after the racial riot in 1969. This policy was nobly aimed at eradicating poverty of the people regardless of race and creed but somehow it was implemented with much prejudice against the non-Malays. Scholarships were mostly granted to the Malays even though they did not secure good results in the SPM or at matriculation level. Besides, jobs were mostly offered to the Malays in the civil service, military and para-military and the police forces.

Many of the non-Malay childrens have to go overseas to pursue their tertiary education on their fathers' scholarships as they could not get into the local universites to pursue courses of their choices. This has caused a serious brain and financial drain from the country during the past three decades. Many of the Malay scholars are also reluctant to return to Malaysia upon completion of their studies abroad of various reasons.

The Government relies heavily on three financial sources namely, Employees Provident Fund, Petronas and Revenue Department.

Many if not most of the GLCs are not performing and they rely on the Government perenially for fresh fund injection almost every year. If at all they make money, it is siphoned out. Known cases in point are Sime Darby, FELDA, Golden Hope, MAS etc.

At the time of writing, it is learned that the privatized water concessionaire is running into serious cash flow problem and may require a financial bail-out from the Federal Government.

Recently it was reported that The Higher Education Scholarship Fund, PTPTN, may face or is likely face with a mind-boggling deficit amounting ot RM46bn by the end of the 11th Malaysia Plan ending 2016. Besides RM23 million were loaned out to "ghostly" students. The Government of the day will have to account for this loss and the deficit. It has been lumbered perienially with non-performing students' debts.

I can only sum up PTPTN's case with just a four-word phrase - "Highly Incompetent and Inefficient" For a trial and change, let the whole management be partially replaced by qualified non-malays. I am sure, this sorry state of affairs will be reduced significantly in the years ahead.

One can easily surmise that the Ketuanan Melayu policy has failed miserably in the area of social-economic development and if allowed to persist, it will drag down the progress of the other ethnic groups.

Of late, our PM announced in his budget speech that he intended to introduce the ETP - Economic Transformation Plan In connection therewith in an efort to elevate the income of the masses, five mega projects were propsed - a 100-storeyed high rise buidling and four super-duper highways! As I pointed out, these projects will benefit the foreign workers more. It has been estimated that no less than 25,000 aliens will be brought into the country from Indonesia, Bangladesh and neighbouring countires to work on these projects. At the end of the day, only a handful of the UMNO cronies will benefit from these five mega projects.

I am most surprised that our former PM, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, endorsed the project! A self-glorifying project that benefits not the masses but only a handful of the umnoputras!

The masses have voiced out vociferously against the multi-storeyed mega project. No less than 200,000 sound-minded citizens have thus far protested and more will be protesting against the white elephant project.

If the proposed four super-duper highways are going to be implemented, then it must be toll-free and not to tax the people any further. They can use the Petronas money to fund the project.

How could not the PM know about this project? He announced it in the Parliament and moreover he is the Chairman of PNB!

Let us save the money for the rainy day and channel it for human development of the unemployed, upgrading of the standards of local universities and offering more scholarships to all the sons and daughters of Malaysians regardless of race and religion who qualify for entry into them. With output of better qualified human resources in the future, they will be able to contribute and spur the country into an industrialised economy by 2020.

The proposed ETP fails to give expression to how it is going to attain a high income economy. Nor does it mention nor propose any plan to attract and set up high-tech industries into the country. We cannot build up nor enhance the income of the masses if we are going to remain content with the labour intensive or screw-driver industries that are prevailing in the country now.

For a successful 1 Malaysia to be realised, all Malaysians must be treated alike without prejudice by virtue of their ethnic and religious backgrounds. The education system has to be revamped and liberated for children of all races to mix, intergrate and study together. In this way, racial harmony among these leaders of tomorrow is enhanced for the betterment of the country.

Let us criminalise all forms of religious, political and social extremism or bigotry for the sake of the country's survival and prosperity.

United, we will succeed; divided, fall. Let us seriously save for the rainy day and channel our funds to really projects that benefit the masses.

Is There LIfe After Death?

Most people dread death. Yet to a minority, death is regarded as the start of a journey to heaven where they expect to meet the Almighty God, the saints, the angels, their kins and kiths who passed on before them.

Different religions offer the adherents their respective salvific paths to heaven - sometimes, also known as paradise, vineyard of the Lord, Kingdom of God, the new Jerusalem etc. where the privileged will shed tears no more, enjoy peace and harmony, devote their time to worshipping God and share with Jesus in the reign of His KIngdom.

In His infinite mercy, God sent his only begotten Son to the world that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but shall have everlasting life. (John 3:16).

Christians are promised this hope for eternity by believing in Jesus as the Son of God, His commandments and His teaching, Besides, they are obliged to love their neighbours as well as their enemies and love God with all their heart, mind and soul if they wish to be eligible for entry into God's kingdom when their lives come to an end on earth.

When righteous men die, their bodies come to a standstill. The souls depart therefrom and they either proceed to heaven or hell depending on how well they lived out their lives while alive on earth.

However, the Catholics believe that when humans die, most of their souls will undergo purification in Purgatory where all their sins will be cleansed before entering and joining our Lord Jesus. The gate to heaven is narrow and the path to damnation is wide and most souls in the first instance will destine to hell, where the souls will be excluded from the proximity of God for ever and ever.

The souls in heaven and hell will be raised during parousia, that is the second coming and returning of our Lord Jesus in glory to judge the living and the dead. All souls will be judged according to merits and demerits of what they did and lived out their lives while alive on earth.
The sheeps will be separated from the goats. The sheeps will inherit the Kingdom while the goats Hell where they shall face punishment in perpetuity.

According to the Book of Revelation, the righeous souls will be resurrected in glorified bodies to reign alongside the the triune God eternally.

Those souls in Hell will also be raised and be given a chance whether they would repent or not otherwise they would be cast into the lake of fire ad infinitum. According the Holy BIble, the souls of the 'goats' will be ushered into Hell perpetually.

May the Almight God continue to bless His people on earth. Let His salvific revelation be made known and spread to convict people throughout the four corners the world.
