Unity Key to 1 Malaysia

It is sad and most unfortunate that despite the PM’s express policy to create a united Malaysia, we have in our midst scumbag like Johari Ghani, Head of UMNO Titiwangsa Division uttering irresponsible statements that Chinese and Indian are not needed for BN to win an election.

Such statements do not really befit the CEO of C.I Holdings Bhd (Pemanis) which distributes bottled beverages like Pepsi, Twister, Revive, Kickapoo, Chill, 7-up, boss coffee and others.

By trying to play to the gallery, Johari merely shows his inner bankrupt make-up which consists of bigotry, chauvinism and racialism.

Malaysia do not need guys like Johari. All the more the electorate should reject candidate like him who will not do any good to the country except racial tension, unrest and disunity among the people.

For the harmonious and peaceful development of a nation, one has to practice not only tolerance but also acceptance of one’s fellowmen. Tolerance is no solution in the long run as we have experience since 1969. One has to accept and respect one another regardless of race, creed and political affiliation. Unless this basis principle is accepted, then no amount of rhetoric, slogan and advocacy will help.

To attain corporate success, it requires a lot of hard work. Success does not come by through utilizing the public funds to buy up successful companies. It requires the injection of one’s capital. Otherwise, there will be a lack of motivation and commitment to succeed. The situation is exacerbated if such companies are going to be bailed out by the BN Government each time they run aground. Cases in point are Sime Darby, Felda, MAS, BBMB(CIMB now) etc.

The citizens must be united if the nation is going to succeed. Unless justice is practiced, the hope of realizing 1 Malaysia is likely to be doomed to failure.

Guys like Johari should be taken into custody under the ISA. They should not be allowed to hang round in public causing disruption, dissension and disintegration among the people of Malaysia.
